07 May 2012. We had 21 inches of rain during April. You'll find a brief report in our current blog post.
Note: Gray blotches, partial images, or a question mark icon anywhere on this page signify incomplete transmission of the image, possibly due to a drop in bandwidth or other technical issue beyond our control. Normally, if you come back in a few minutes, the problem will have cleared up. If it hasn't, then possibly we have a power or internet outage. In that case, we'll be back up as soon as possible.
You may find it interesting to compare Potrerillos weather with Palmira, Chiriqui, weather. The stations are
6 miles apart in distance but 1,740 feet apart in altitude.
An excellent site for the Panama weather forecast is at Gerencia de Hidrometerología (meterologial service of Panama).

Sunrise/Sunset
The box below gives sunrise and sunset times as calculated and reported by a site in the UK. The solar graph above gives the time of day in local 24-hr time. To compare the sunrise or sunset time on that graph with the calculated UTC sunrise or sunset time in the box below, you need to know this:
- UTC is Coordinated Universal Time and may be considered equivalent to Greenwich Mean Time.
- Panama time is UTC - 5 hours, so an 11:00 AM UTC sunrise would mean a 6:00 AM sunrise, Panama time.
Every time I've checked, the first solar rays that show up on our graph coincide nicely with the calculated sunrise time. Pretty neat.
