This website is an archive of weather data collected from February 2009 through December 2012 from a private station in Potrerillos Arriba, Province of Chiriqui, Republic of Panama. The station was located at 8.684° N and 82.485° W.*

The Today's Weather page shows the data collected the last day the station broadcast data - 09 January 2013. The images were sent from a WeatherHawk weather station to a webhost server every five minutes, barring power or internet outages - always a consideration in this part of the country.

We had a comparison page with a WeatherHawk station in Palmira, Chiriqui. That station was just six miles from ours but at a higher altitude. Out station also sent data Weather Underground every five minutes, when power and internet connections were both up and running. Unfortunately, there were significant lapses in data transmission during the time our station was operational.

The most recent Caribbean surface analysis, satellite visible image, and wind directions are still displayed on the Today's Satellite Images page.

On the About Our Rain page you'll find a little information showing that Potrerillos is one of the rainiest spots in Panama. We also have on that page historical information gathered over a 16-year-period by our friend and neighbor, Ricardo Espinosa.

The Archives page features links to data tables starting with 2009, rain day tables graphs starting with 2010. These summaries are complete through December 2012.

Our Resources page provides links to weather and climate resources.

We had a Blog that was updated intermittently with reports or notices of unusual weather.

The About Us page describes how this project started up.
