This website brings weather data from a private station in Potrerillos Arriba, Province of Chiriqui, Republic of Panama, to the internet. We are located at 8.684° N and 82.485° W.*
For the weather we're seeing today, go to Today's Weather link. The images are sent from our WeatherHawk weather station to our server every five minutes, barring power or internet outages - always a consideration in our part of the country. If you see gray blotches or partial images, these signify incomplete transmission of the image, possibly due to a drop in bandwidth or other technical issue beyond our control. Normally, if you come back a few minutes later, the problem will have cleared up. If it hasn't, then probably we have an outage. In that case, we'll be back up as soon as possible.
While you're looking at our weather, you might want to check the difference between our conditions in Potrerillos and those in Palmira, a town that is also in Chiriqui but at a higher altitude. There's also a link near the bottom of the page to the weather data that our station sends to Weather Underground every five minutes.
