More La Niña?

The latest discussion of the El Niño/Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomenon predicts that:

ENSO-Neutral or La Niña conditions are equally likely during May-June 2011

So, we have a 50-50 chance of heavy rains during the early part of the rainy season again this year. Click on the link to see the full report.

Rain gauge installed: Just in case we fall on the wrong side of that 50/50 chance, our replacement rain gauge is in place. Lloyd Cripe came by yesterday with his 3-footed ladder and his expertise and did the deed. Thanks, Lloyd!

You are most welcome. I really appreciate the fact that you and Joyce decided to put up another quality weather station even though neither of you are rich folks which means we are in good company with each other. It is helpful to the community to have a station reporting good data from the Portrerillos area. Let’s hope that our replaced rain gauges do the job and we have solved this problem. See ya down the trail.
